Job Description


Manage and implement engineering aspects of new products launches, including Control of Program, Product Design and Review and Process Development and Launch. Also, provide engineering support for all existing products being produced.


  • Design and Develop products, processes and systems by: Applying knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes, developing/applying product performance specifications, developing/applying process acceptance criteria and designing and performing product /system testing.

  • Champions innovative engineering technology by: Evaluating new technologies, driving technology initiatives, performing research and development, and establishing next-generation engineering solutions

  • Applies and maintains current knowledge of engineering tools/methods/techniques to meet technical needs, including: Appropriate usage of engineering tools (e.g. PC, CAD, FMEA), problem solving/resolution techniques, continuous improvement/cost reduction (e.g. Kanban, Kaizen), Environmental Health and Safety issues.

  • May supervise technicians or other salaried engineers depending on the program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering or applicable disciplines from four-year college or university.

  • Minimum of five years engineering work experience in a related field or Advanced Degree with minimum of three years engineering work experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information an respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Possess knowledge of various computer software such as database, design, internet, SAP inventory, manufacturing, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to communicate across various levels of the organization and effectively lead teams.

  • Good project management, negotiation, problem-solving, and computer skills.

  • Strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.

  • Lock out/Tag out process competency.
