POSITION: Suite AttendantDEPARTMENT: Food and BeverageREPORTS TO: Premium Services ManagerFLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt Summary SMG-Savor at Baxter Arena has an excellent and immediate opening for a Suite Attendant. This position maintains organization and cleanliness of suites and assists guests in accordance with SMG's Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. -Pre-event suite set-up including chafing dishes, plates and silverware, televisions, lighting and overall ambiance in the suite. -Verify and set-up all pre-game/event orders -Identify suite host and properly introduce yourself -Take and place game day food and beverage orders-Set-up and check on game day food and beverage orders and serve guests until the end of the event-Replenish food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed -Maintain standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite throughout the event -Obtain signatures from the host on charges in a timely manner -Clear all items from the suite and clean all surfaces and chafing dishes in suite-Reset suite for next function, complete closing functions-Check out with supervisor or manager Qualifications -Must have good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty -Must follow all SMG-SAVOR policies and procedures -Must be present for all major events at the Arena Education and/or Experience -Minimum of one year experience in foodservice position required-Previous supervisory experience preferred-Must be at least 19 years of age and able to pass a credit check Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -Excellent guest service skills: ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards-Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training-Knowledgeable in operating food service equipment, basic food preparatory techniques, sanitation and safety issues-Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate with staff, plan ahead and to prepare event plans simultaneously-Highly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands -Frequent walking for entire length of shift-Constant standing, bending, reaching and repetitive motions -Frequent lift, push or pull items and objects weighing up to 50 lbs Working Conditions -Moderate to extreme exposure to noise during events -May be exposed to vibrations caused by extreme noise during events -May be exposed to strobe lights/lasers during events -May be exposed to chemicals when cleaning locations Hours of Work -Availability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidaysNote The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
