Primary Responsibilities HDR is seeking an intelligent and energetic leader to be part of our Corporate Accounting team. We will soon be implementing a new Enterprise Research Planning system, Oracle EBS. This implementation will bring a good deal of process and system changes to Corporate Accounting and HDR. We are looking for a strong leader who can manage people and processes in the midst of change.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Assist Corporate Accounting personnel responsible for general ledger reconciliations, journal entry processing, joint venture accounting, monthly and annual financial reporting activities, and special projects. * Facilitate a proactive continual improvement environment within Corporate Accounting intended to refine internal processes and align with best practices * Prepare financial reports and filings and work with HDR management and operations as necessary to facilitate such filings, including addressing ongoing accounting issues within the respective entity. * Provide candid and open feedback to staff and peers in constructive fashion. * Be an integral part of the internal activities related to the annual external financial audit, and filing of financials in accordance with GAAP or statutory requirements. * Prepare ad hoc financial reports, as requested by management * Perform accounting research and document conclusions on behalf of the company. * Indirect supervision of acquisition financial reporting following the closing of transactions to ensure accurate purchase price allocation in accordance with GAAP and proper transition and reconciliation of inherited balances. * Ensure accuracy of local GAAP financials for international entities * Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned *LI-BC1
Required Qualifications Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field required Minimum of 6 years of corporate accounting, public accounting, internal audit or related experience required Must be self-motivated, well organized, and able to work well independently Ability to manage multiple projects required Strong written and oral communication skills required Positive attitude and wiliness to take on challenging projects required High proficiency in MS Office especially Excel and strong analytical skills required
Preferred Qualifications Experience with foreign currency accounting is desired Previous experience with Oracle EBS, and/or Hyperion is desired A/E/C industry experience a plus but not required Master’s degree or CPA designation is a plus but not required Preference given to local candidates
