St Joseph Villa LPN Charge Nurse in Omaha, Nebraska

Perform all skilled nursing procedures according to house policy. Complete monthly summaries per schedule.Chart on each new admission 72 hours (q shift), chart on all incidents for the following 72 hours. Chart on all Medicare patients once every shift. Complete the admission process on all new admits received during your scheduled shift. If unable to complete the admission process on your shift, despite sincere efforts to do so, give the oncoming nurse a detailed report of what is completed/not completed. Notify all ancillary personnel of any specific needs or orders received for residents care. Act as a team leader and demonstrate a healthy attitude toward residents and coworkers. Respond to all stat calls. An IV CERTIFIED LPN may manage IVss within the restrictions of his/her certification. They may not administer IV push medications, may not add medication to IV fluids and may not access an implanted port. Maintain frequent communication with the Director of Nursing on the conditions existing on your assigned division. Supervise feeding of residents on division. Assist and observe in management of the division dining rooms during mealtimes. See that all physicianss orders are carried out or appropriate arrangements made. Evaluate, plan and organize nursing care according to house policies. Clean and re-stock medication room and medication carts with all supplies at the end of your shift. Re-order medications as needed. Assist with resident personal care as needed. Supervise that monthly vitals are completed.Requirements of the positions:Must be able to lift up to 300 pounds with assistance.Must be able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to American Heart Association Standards.Possess visual/auditory acuity with or without corrective devices.Position requires unaided mobility and adequate physical stamina to perform job duties as described.Must be able to communicate well with staff, residents, visitors, etc.Must be able to work at a computer and compile routine reports.
