Commissioning Lead is the technical expert for all start-up testing and commissioning activities on power and cogeneration projects. Responsible for all start-up testing and commissioning activities. Provides a key interface between customer, GE and constructor

on all start-up related issues. He manages start-up personnel staffing, EHS requirements for safe to ensure the start-up is performed in professional, efficient and safe manner.

Duties include:

  • Develop all start-up schedules and resource planning.

  • Ensure compliance with and administer contract in performance of start-up activities.

  • Ensures compliance with Start-up Policies and Procedures.

  • Conduct start-up meetings and interface with Customer, GE and Constructor.

  • Review P&ID's and engineering documents.

  • Maintain System Turnover Packages and transmit to Customer upon system acceptance.

  • Maintain Start-up Daily Log and all office correspondence.

  • Ensure compliance with all site safety regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with all site environmental and construction permits, (as applicable).

  • Utilize customers O&M staff in support of start-up testing activities.

  • Review start-up and commissioning instructions and test procedures.Proven leadership skills and project controls experience to effectively manage a site through a successful commissioning evolution is required. As a minimum, should have Level III certification. Manage 3 or more commissioning technicians daily.
