Role Summary:

The Senior HPI Regional Engineer is responsible for providing expertise to support the core business growth in this segment with primary focus on the Hydrocarbon Processing / Refining in the North Central Region.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Senior HPI Regional Engineer, you will:

  • Provide expertise to support the Hydrocarbon Processing industries in the Central United States

  • Lead / assist development and implementation of key projects that deploy and demonstrate unique capabilities and solutions of the GE product line

  • Be accountable to deliver assigned revenue and margin growth within the segment

  • Partner with both the region engineering team and regional / corporate sales teams to develop and execute effective sales campaign

  • Establish key relationships with top prospects & customers and for demonstrating and selling new business to increase market share

  • Coordinate and support industry-specific and application-specific training for the regional sales teams to build technical competence and sales effectiveness

  • Coordinate with commercial and functional leaders to align and develop resources and solutions to facilitate sustainable business growth

  • Partner with technical and marketing teams to raise awareness and credibility with specific customers and prospects as well as the broader industry, e.g. coordinating and presenting customer lunch and learns, appropriate industry conferences, etc.

  • Ensure prioritizing and balance between short-term business needs and longer-term strategic growth across the team

  • Maintain broad awareness of efforts within team to assure timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs

  • Identify competencies and deficiencies and establish goals to address

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in a technical discipline

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Technical Sales, Product Management or Operations

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the North Central United States and occasionally to other regions of the US

Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy industry water treatment or minimum of 10 years of experience in operations role within hydrocarbon processing / refining industry

  • Experience selling complex technical solutions of substantial value

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Water& Process treatment within the Refining industry

  • Strong leadership skills to lead teams and shape / lead growth vision and marketing strategy

  • Knowledge of Product Management / Marketing expertise, including: market trends / analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, and product life-cycle management

  • Solid presentation skills

  • Strong analytical and process skills

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment

  • Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers
