Job Description SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the following: performing daily audits; entering data into the Plant View Data Collection System; learning and understanding the company's SOP, SSOP, and HACCP policies and procedures; perform pre-op inspections prior to the start of production; enforcing the company's SOP policies which include GMPs, water drips, etc.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year QA type experience required.
Communication Skills: Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Extra consideration given to team members with technical skills; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce; have good problem identification and problem solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed; work with little or no supervision.
Physical Requirements: Position involves heavy lifting 0-70 pounds; must be willing and able to perform work that involves gripping and the use of your hands and arms above the level of your shoulders, able to stand 10-12 hours a day on hard floors; work and or cross-train in all environments of our processing facility; work around the sight and the smell of meat products or any other product present when processing meat. Environment is wet, humid, hot and cold. Temperatures can range 35 degrees to greater than 90 degrees. Supervisory: None/Travel: None
