Refrigeration Tech l is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title. The types of roles available require maintaining equipment in the refrigeration system and rendering facility with occasional boiler system coverage. Troubleshooting, ensuring proper maintenance and operational status of equipment. . Performing other duties as assigned, while making safety the number one priority. Refrigeration Tech 1 requires being able to read manuals written in English and the ability to write and document information.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Equipment and Facility rounds to ensure proper and safe operation of system

  • Operate and maintain refrigeration system

  • Participation in revision or creation of operating procedures

  • Participation in incident investigations

  • Participation in compliance audits

  • Participation in internal audits and external inspections

  • Assist in field verifications of Process Safety Information developed as part of the PSM program

  • Member of PSM/RSM/BSM committees

  • Acknowledge System Irregularities, Analyze, and Communicate Associated Hazards

  • Train themselves to Eliminate Hazards and To be as Knowledgeable as possible about the system

  • Follow all onsite safety practices and procedures

  • Cleanliness and housekeeping

  • Documenting daily work assigned on paper and in maintenance management system

  • Utilize parts in inventory to repair equipment and follow procedures for documenting usage

  • Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)

  • Facility HAZMAT membership

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Must have basic math skill

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

  • Must have knowledge of hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two year degree that relates to the maintenance field

  • Experience using a powered industrial truck (PIT)
