The Information Systems SecuritySpecialistwill ensurethat the architecture and design of DoD information systems (IS) are functional and secure. As necessary, the selected candidate will designand developIA or IA enabled products, interface specifications, and approaches to secure the environment. Assessthreats to the environment and provides input on the adequacy of security designs and architectures. Participatein risk assessment during the Certification and Accreditation process and support functional personnel at geographically separated locations with guidelines, planning, and requirements for security inspections at other Air Force installations.
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
Maintain the Enterprise IA, system security and sustainment programs, followingall applicable ICD and NIST guidance in performing day-to-day duties.
Draft, coordinate, modify, and implement new and existing hardware and software Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) requirements for theACC and supported sites.
Provide IA support services to geographically separated ACC sites to ensure security standards are strictly adhered to by supported personnel. Enforce measures established by the DNI and relative authorizing officials that protect and defend information and information systems, web-based services, remote hosted applications, discovery, storage, operating systems, PKI, and other information technology components and applications for the sites. Report all security incidents to the Information Security Officer.
Manage privileged user accounts for thesupported sites and systems using program specifictools and will assign permissions as needed (ACAS, HBSS, Etc.)
Monitor and report mandated Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) statistics for the program. Provide annual reporting, have familiarity with RFM processes and changes from DIACAP. Support Cyber Inspections, scanning of systems at other locations, provide reports, and follow up actions as needed. Support the transition from DIACAP to RMF. Use and recommend industry best practices for Cyber Security.
